The Organic Farming Research Foundation focuses on the Farm Bill with new hire
The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) has added a new senior policy and program specialist to address efforts to work with the upcoming Farm Bill, it said. The hire is part of an effort to invest in the future of organic production and introduce the Organic Agriculture Research Act.
Mark Lipson is a 30-year pioneer in organic agriculture and leader in the California-based organic farming community, the foundation said.
Previously, he served as the organic and sustainable agriculture policy advisor for the US Secretary of Agriculture and has been a research associate in organic agriculture policy at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
