Bunge agribusiness president announces impending retirement

The head of Bunge Limited’s agribusiness division is set to retire at the end of the year.

The New York-based company announced Monday [August 6] that Brian Thomsen, president of agribusinesses had said he was planning to retire. He is currently expected to stay with the company through the end of the year to ease the transition process.

Thomsen started with Bunge in 2004 and took over leadership of the agribusiness segment in 2014, Bunge said. He had previously served as the managing director of global grains and oilseeds product lines.

“In his role as president of agribusiness, Brian has built a strong commercial team, enhanced our global value chain integration and strengthened our global footprint of assets through various partnerships around the world,”​ said Soren Schroder, CEO with Bunge.
