Irish dairy tech startup Cainthus is getting a new CEO as co-founder and current CEO David Hunt steps aside.

Hunt is set to remain with the company in the position of president.

Aidan Connolly will be the new CEO for the technology company, as initially reported by AgFunder News,

In his previous position, Connolly was the head of innovation at Alltech.

He filled several roles for the Kentucky-based feed additive company during his more than 25-year tenure there.

Connolly has been involved with Cainthus for several years and was an early investor. He also served as the chairman of the board for the company.

As CEO, Connolly's focus reportedly will be developing its commercial growth.

Cainthus uses computer-based analysis of a closed-circuit video system to track dairy cow intake and behavior with the goal of providing information to dairy producers including about cow health.

The company also has an ongoing strategic partnership with the agro-giant Cargill.
