WWF sustainability lead joins DMS
DSM has announced the appointment of Carlos Saviani as global sustainability lead for Animal Nutrition and Health.
"He will play a key role in the further development and rollout of the company’s animal nutrition purpose-led sustainability strategy. He will focus on engagement with customers and associated stakeholders in the global animal protein value chain."
Prior to joining DSM, Saviani served as vice president of the World Wild Fund’s (WWF) Food Sustainability team, and led the organisation’s efforts to promote the adoption and implementation of sustainability for meats, seafood, and dairy products by large influential companies across the animal protein value chain.
DSM said he brings over 26 years of professional experience in different aspects of the global livestock value chain, from managing a beef ranch to holding roles in organisations such as Genus ABS, Zoetis/Pfizer AH and Merial/Sanofi.
Saviani has also sat on the boards of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef and the International Egg Foundation.
