The weaning period is a multi-factorial stressful period for piglets, The feed transition is a key challenge, which obliges the piglets to adapt their immune system in order to accept the new feed. As 70 to 80% of the immune cells are located in the gut, this adaptation can generate local inflammation and oxidative stress. To support animals, a combination of patented plant extracts, POWERJET®, has been tested. The natural active ingredients have been selected for their anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant properties and their capacity to modulate the immune response.
