BEC Feed Solutions executive joins De Heus

This month saw Ton Hovers join De Heus as director of business development Asia. 

The Dutch feed giant said the appointment strengthens its Asian management team, and underscores its ambitions for that region.  

Hovers, it said, has broad experience and knowledge of the international food and agriculture industries, particularly of the animal nutrition sector in Asia.  

He was previously chief operations officer of Australian premix company, BEC Feed Solutions. At De Heus, he will be responsible for the procurement of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and feed additives, coordination of its Asian export activities along with the development and implementation of strategic projects for De Heus Asia. 

Hovers has also worked with Windmill Holland, Hendrix Voeders, Nordos International and Trouw Nutrition International, being part of the team to set up the first premix factory for Trouw Nutrition in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2008. 

He is set to relocate from Brisbane Australia to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in early 2017, and will report to Gabor Fluit, business group director, De Heus Asia.
