Ian Carr, strategic marketing director at Cargill, is on the move.

Carr says he is interested in “exciting new challenges” to build upon his experiences to date, which have been fish farming and fish feed related.

He told FeedNavigator: "After so many really great years in different roles with EWOS, Cermaq and Cargill, I want to test myself in a new context. I think there is still so much potential in the aquaculture industry to produce healthy and sustainable seafood for a hungry world and I look forward to continuing to participate in new and different ways.

"I'm also really enthusiastic about the potential for disruptive innovation in all parts of the aquaculture value chain as the industry continues to embrace change through developments in bioscience, digitalization and a range of other novel technologies. It is an exciting time to be involved with aquaculture and food production."

Most of his career has seen him working at EWOS, which was taken over by Cargill in 2015.

He has had business development and sales and marketing roles in the leading fish feed group.

In the past two years, he headed up the ‘strategic marketing’ team for Cargill Aquaculture Nutrition, serving seven regional businesses around the world.

From April 2011 to July 2016, he was group marketing director at the EWOS group.

However, during an 18 month tenure, he worked as a senior advisor at the Oslo stock exchange listed salmon farming and fish feed group, Cermaq.
