For many swine producers, increasing sow profitability means producing more pigs per sow per year. However, research shows that sow retention is crucial to maximize profitability (Gruhot et al., 2017).

In a 1-year trial with MINTREX® trace minerals from Novus International, Inc., results showed that sows fed MINTREX® increased reproductive efficiency and longevity compared to sows fed inorganic trace minerals (Lawrence et al., 2021).
