A series of state-law claims brought against Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Bunge North America, Cargill Incorporated, Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) and Gavilon Grain have been dismissed.
A US District Court judge has approved a joint motion to dismiss counterclaims and third-party complaints against Cargill, Rail Transfer Inc and Archer Daniels Midland Company.
ADM, Cargill, Express Grain Terminal LLC and Rail Transfer Inc have recently called for third-party and counterclaims brought against them by Syngenta in the ongoing biotech corn lawsuit to be dismissed.
Syngenta cannot appeal a ruling allowing Cargill, ADM and others to continue to sue the Swiss company alleging damages from the sale of the Swiss company’s Viptera seed into the US prior to Chinese trait authorization, said a Kansas federal judge.
