ForFarmers’ Jan Potijk to step down
Jan Potijk, member of the executive board and COO of ForFarmers Netherlands, has announced that he will not be putting himself up for reappointment during the AGM shareholders meeting in April 2019, the date when his current tenure ends.
ForFarmers said, after April next year, its executive board will, consequently, consist of the CEO, Yoram Knoop, and the CFO, Arnout Traas.
“Jan has been of invaluable importance to the development and success of ForFarmers. He informed us of his wish to seize the moment to step down when his mandate would come to an end having identified and trained his successors in his own management team,” said Yoram Knoop, CEO of ForFarmers.
ForFarmers also announced that it is appointing two new members to its executive committee - Pieter Wolleswinkel and David Fousert. They will both take on that role from January 2019.
Wolleswinkel will become responsible for ForFarmers Netherlands, consisting of the ruminant, swine and poultry business units. Prior to working in ForFarmers, he was a practicing veterinary doctor and held international leadership positions at Provimi. He joined ForFarmers in 2014 as business unit director within ForFarmers Germany. As of the start of 2018, he has headed up the swine BU within ForFarmers the Netherlands.
Fousert will become responsible for the Reudink and Pavo business units and for ForFarmers Belgium. He has held various international leadership positions in the food and agri business at Cargill. He joined ForFarmers in 2016 as director of the ruminants BU within ForFarmers Netherlands.
