New CFO at Danish fishmeal producer
Jeppe Loli Sørensen has been named chief financial officer of Danish fishmeal and fish oil producer, TripleNine Group.
He has a background in auditing and has held a variety of roles over the past 16 years including controller, accounting manager and CFO of several companies.
TripleNine announced last month that it was forced to make redundancies at two of its factories in Denmark due to raw material supply issues. The job cuts will be seen at the company's Thyboron and Esbjerg processing plants.
CEO, Jes Bjerregaard, told FeedNavigator that the fishmeal producer is feeling the impact of the reduced 2020 quotas for blue whiting and Baltic sea sprat; there are concerns also that the low 2019 quotas for sizzling and North Sea sprat will be maintained.
"The quotas on industrial fish in Denmark are decreasing, and, thereby, the volume to our factory is decreasing significantly compared to prior years," said the CEO.
