Canadian Bio-Systems places emphasis on antibiotic free production
Canadian Bio-Systems said it is expanding its poultry team to address change in the North American poultry industry and increased interest in the use of antibiotic alternatives including bio-based feed additives.
The Canada-based company has added Paul Garvey to its team in Ontario to act as a sales manager in poultry. He will promote bio-based feed additives and work with Raised Without Antibiotics (RWA) production programs, which includes helping align programs and strategies for producers, feed mills, processors and retailers.
Garvey has hands-on experience with farming, and maintains a farm in the Hanover area, the company said.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in animal sciences from the University of Guelph, and worked for a year at the University of Alberta with poultry researcher Dr Frank Robinson.
He also has had senior sales and procurement roles with poultry-focused feed and food companies before joining CBS Inc and he brings a track record of work with relationships across the supply chain.
